How To: Hot Hold® Timers (Video)

Watch the video above to learn how to operate the food timers. Read below on an example of how the food timers work.

The Meister Cook Hot Hold® is equipped with a timer to let you know when it is time to replace your food. The timer also warns you when to start cooking more food.

Remember, the Meister Cook Hot Hold® is not an oven. All food must be properly cooked to a food safe temperature prior to placing it in the Hot Hold®.

For an example, say we be hold breakfast sausage for 3 hours. First, notice that there is a display for each of the four bins. We make sure that sausage is displayed for the bin we are using.

After cooking the sausage, we place it in the appropriate Hot Hold® bin and slide the bin all the way into the Hot Hold®.

Now, we hold down the yellow Bin button until it beeps. This will start the 3 HOUR timer.

At 2 hours and 45 minutes, the timer will go off, and the display will say “Attention Cook” (ATTN COOK). To stop the beeping, we tap the yellow bin button. Now the display will says “Attention Cook” (ATTN COOK) for the remaining 15 minutes. This happens so we have 15 minutes to cook more sausage and always have fresh food ready for each customer.

When 3 hours have passed, the timer will go off again and say “Attention Dump” (ATTN DUMP). We stop the beeping noise by tapping the yellow bin button.

"Attention Dump" means that the food should be replaced with a fresh batch. When replacing the food, we hold down the yellow bin button until it beeps. This will turn off the timer.

Once we replace the food, restart the 3 hour timer by holding down the yellow bin button until it beeps. We are all set and can easily repeat this process.

Usually, we will serve all the food in the bin very quickly. Once all the food has been served and the bin is empty, we can turn off the timer at any time by holding down the yellow Bin Button until it beeps.
